Wendy Bennett was born to Geoffrey and Charlotte ("Shirley", nee Scott) Cuthbert-Brown in Richmond, North Yorkshire on 13 January 1943.
Wendy was a talented artist with a particular fondness of watercolours and loved gardening at her allotment. She was a member of many art and historical societies and loved travelling - especially when visiting places her ancestors had lived and meeting distant cousins. She passed away quietly, typically avoiding all fuss in the Royal County of Surrey Hospital in Guildford, on 22 May 2021.
Forged by tragedy, not least in losing her father to motor neurone disease - as it is now known - in 1952. Wendy was provocative, misunderstanding of some, misunderstood by a few but revered and greatly loved by many - not least her late brother, John, late husband Major Roger Wilmot Bennett of REME, her cousins and her nephews. She will be long missed by the many friends she'd made all around the world.
