Four of us, sometimes more, used to go, over a period of many years, to visit the Rude Mechanicals when they performed at village greens in Conford and Selborne. One of the highlights was the picnic, when Wendy would provide her acclaimed pavlova with raspberries from her allotment. At Christmas time we would go to Chichester Theatre or the Maltings in Farnham to see a musical, a play or a concert.   They were always fun occasions and I will miss her great company.
